The Prophetic Voice of a Godly Woman in the Last Days

Scripture: 2 Kings 22:14–20

There are women whom God raises up in times when others have stopped paying attention to His ways.

The story of Huldah is brief, but her impact is profound. She appears during one of the most important moments in the spiritual history of Judah. The people had turned away from God, the temple needed to be restored, and the Book of the Law had been found after being forgotten for so long.

When the book was read before King Josiah, he realized something terrible: the people had strayed from the ways of God.

The king needed to know the will of God.

And then something significant happens: the men who were sent to seek the Lord went to a woman.

They went to the prophetess Huldah. 🙏🏼

This teaches us something beautiful: God does not limit His work by gender, position, or title. He can raise up a woman to communicate His truth at the very moment it is most needed.

There are women who may never stand behind a pulpit, but they are raising children for God.

There are women without a ministerial title who pray in the early hours of the morning.

There are women without a large audience who, when they speak, speak from the Scriptures.

The Book Was Lost, but the Truth Remained

The Word had been there, but it had been forgotten.

And when it was read again, it brought conviction.

There is a special responsibility for us as women.

Our homes need women who know the Word.

Our children need to hear the truth.

Our church needs believers who are not afraid to stand firmly on what the Scriptures teach.

We cannot teach what we do not know.

We cannot defend a truth that we have never studied.

Therefore, woman of God, open your Bible.

Know the Word.

Hide it in your heart.

Huldah Did Not Soften the Message

The message Huldah received was not an easy one.

She announced judgment.

She did not tell the king what he wanted to hear; she faithfully communicated what God had determined.

Scripture also confronts us.

It corrects us.

It calls us to repentance.

It invites us to return to the right path.

Huldah Spoke with Authority, but She Also Spoke with Hope 🙌🏼

Although the message began with judgment, Huldah also announced mercy.

King Josiah had humbled himself before God.

He had torn his robes.

He had wept.

And the Lord had seen his heart.

God let him know that He had heard his repentance.

This teaches us that repentance still moves God's heart.

We should be women who know the Word of God, seek His direction, and have the courage to live out and communicate His truth.

That calling can be expressed in many ways:

A mother teaching the Scriptures to her children.

A wife praying for her home.

A sister counseling another woman with biblical wisdom.

And when a generation needs to return to the truth, He can use women who are willing to communicate it with clarity and courage.

Prayer

“Lord, make me a woman like Huldah. Give me a heart that is sensitive to Your direction and a hunger for Your Word. Help me not to be afraid to communicate the truth, but teach me to do so with love and wisdom.

May my life be an instrument that leads others back to You.

Raise up women in these last days who will remain firm, who will pray, who will teach the Scriptures, and who will reflect Your truth in the midst of a confused generation.

May those who hear my words find direction, correction, and hope, and may my life draw them closer to You.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.”
